Primary responsibilities will be to assist with software implementation, configuration, integration, and training with a lesser focus on sales. This individual will primarily work directly with clients on implementing Dataforensics geotechnical and geo-environmental data management solutions. Full Time Geotechnical Engineer Software Implementation Specialist

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Perform technical support to Dataforensics clients
  • Perform training for Dataforensics software
  • Perform integration of Dataforensics software with other 3rd party software such as gINT, LogPlot, HoleBase, and ESdat

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Geotechnical or Environmental engineering
  • EIT
  • Technology savvy
  • Strong ability to learn new software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Not required but a bonus to have:

  • Experience with databases such as MS Access
  • Experience with geographic information systems (GIS)

 

Mid-Level Android Software Developer

Dataforensics, a small fast, growing independent software vendor, is searching for a highly skilled, highly motivated Android Developer. This individual will work directly with the internal domain expert on the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering, analysis and design to development, testing, documentation, deployment and maintenance. Dataforensics products consist of data collection applications for civil engineers that run on Android tablets as well as web-based applications/web services (VB.net/ASP.net) with SQL Server backend databases. If you are looking for a job working as part of a small development team where you won’t be doing the same thing every day, working on complex, robust software products this could be the job for you.

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop Android-based software applications with SQL Lite databases
  • Enhance and maintain existing Android based application
  • Collaborate with technical lead and web-based senior developer to determine features, requirements and solutions.
  • Perform debugging and unit testing
  • Assist customer support team with resolving technical problems

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years programming experience with Android
  • Advanced working knowledge and experience with SQL Lite
  • Advanced working knowledge and experience with object-oriented software design and implementation practices
  • Advanced working knowledge and experience with webservices
  • Strong ability to learn new software skills, development practices, and programming languages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Not required but a bonus to have:

  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Experience with VB.NET/ASP.NET
