The Dataforensics gINT Security Tool provides control over adding, editing and deleting data in gINT. It allows the database administrator to define a customized gINT user interface based on the requirements for various groups of users (roles) and/or based on project types by hiding application groups, applications, table groups, tables, fields and even making fields read only. Additionally, it facilitates the approval/review process by enabling specific data to be set as read only to prevent changes once it has been reviewed and approved.
The Dataforensics gINT Security Tool allows the administrator to provide access privileges to various gINT functionality via groups of users by defining roles.
The Dataforensics gINT Security Tool allows the administrator to enable or disable gINT Application Groups, gINT Applications. The table shown below allows you to select which gINT Application Groups are hidden for a particular role. gINT Applications Groups are the various different options that are available to users via the tabs such as Input, Output, Report Design, Data Design, etc. This facilitates securing your gINT files such that only personnel that should be modifying critical aspects of your gINT configuration can do so.
The Dataforensics gINT Security Tool allows the administrator to enable or disable Table Groups, Tables, and Fields based on project purpose. This facilitates customizing the interface based on your project type such that extraneous tables and fields are not shown to users for projects that would not utilize them. The image shown below allows you to select which tables are hidden for a particular project type.
Specific roles in the system can be set to approve field data as well as laboratory data. Once the status has been set to approved, no changes to the data can be made unless the approved status is unset.
